Community Care aims at making a positive and lasting impact in the immediate community of TKC, and in the society at large. We support and collaborate with individuals and organizations in providing resources and targeted solutions to identified needs in the community. Many Individuals, groups, and organizations continue to benefit from various initiatives and projects undertaken by the unit namely; training, prison & hospital ministry, donations to local food banks, and financial assistance to shelters.
Specifically, among others, the following are a few of Community Care initiatives and projects:
- Cash and Food donations to North York Harvest Food Bank
- Support of rehab, counseling, & training of inmates at the Toronto South Detention Center
- Financial assistance to North York Women’s Shelter, SOS Children’s village, Youth Without Shelter
- Annual walk-a-thon and free barbecue for the church members and community members
